Stage 1 begins near the Ceylon Tea Museum in Hantana, ascending steadily along pine ridges and eucalyptus slopes with sweeping panoramic views of the Kandy valley. As you gain elevation, the urban bustle fades into birdsong and wind in the treetops.
The descent into Galaha along the old bridle paths brings hikers right into the heart of historic tea terrain. Arriving at Galaha Post Office marks the end of Stage 1 — and exactly where our private estate transfer meets you with cold towels and iced estate tea.
The following morning, Stage 2 begins literally at our front gate, winding through working tea divisions where pluckers in colorful sarees move quietly through the morning mist. For any hiker, having a hot bath, a warm fireplace, and a three-course dinner between the stages makes the journey truly unforgettable.
