At 2,800 feet above sea level in the Galaha hills, the dusk brings a sudden, crisp drop in temperature. As the mist curls over the tea valleys, dry pine logs are laid inside the hearth of the Planter's Lounge.

At exactly six-thirty, the first spark is struck. There are no announcements, no presentations, and no rigid dress codes. Guests drift in from their rooms or from the trails, sinking into century-old leather armchairs.

A tumbler of spiced Ceylon arrack or a hot pot of silver tip tea is poured. Books are opened, trail stories exchanged, and the quiet crackle of the wood creates a cocoon of warmth against the cool upland night.
