The bungalow sits where Stage 1 ends and Stage 2 begins. Depending on the package we meet you at the stage ends, send your luggage ahead by road, pack your lunch and brief you on the morning’s weather.

Good to know.

Deposits, cancellations, check-in times, children and accessibility, in one place.

Payment & rates
  • A 30% deposit confirms every booking.
  • The balance is due 14 days before arrival.
  • Current rates are available on request.
  • All rates are quoted in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR), including tax.
  • Solo traveller rates are available on request and differ slightly from the couple rate.
  • A high-season surcharge applies from December to March; ask when enquiring.
Cancellation
  • Free cancellation up to 72 hours before arrival (individual rooms).
  • Free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival (packages and buyouts).
  • Cancellations within 72 hours: 50% of the deposit is retained.
  • Trail cancellations due to severe weather: full flexibility, no penalty.
  • Date changes are free with 48 hours’ notice, subject to availability.
  • All cancellations must be confirmed in writing, by email or WhatsApp.
Check-in & check-out
  • Standard check-in 2:00 PM, check-out 11:00 AM.
  • Hikers: early check-in from 12:00 PM on request (after Stage 1).
  • Hikers: late check-out until 2:00 PM on request (before Stage 2).
  • Arriving by train? WhatsApp us from Peradeniya station and your transfer will meet you.
Children & accessibility
  • Children are welcome; a cot is available at no charge (request it when booking).
  • A children’s menu is available with advance notice.
  • The Founder’s Suite, the Highlands Suite and the Cottage are fully step-free.
  • Please mention any accessibility needs when you book.
